RAMBLING MIND WHY NOT CANADA BEFORE JAPAN 1980
Today my rambling mind takes me past memories of Peru, where I have been lost for the past few days, and onto further adventures after our return to Canada. I promised to move on to our adventures in Japan, however I realized that doing so would mean I had to skip over our arrival in Canada and Bubbaloo’s introduction to the frozen north. My god was that funny. She had utterly no concept of what Canada or a Canadian winter was like. She had seen snow before, on the top of a volcano on the horizon of the city she lived in. Or maybe, in a “snow cone” that was sold to children in the plaza. She had also seen ice in a drink or in the freezer section of the refrigerator.
That was as deep as her knowledge of Canadian winter went. We were returning in late January. This was gonna be fun, right? I had to deal with things like my mom’s admonishment of her, shortly after our arrival, which went something like this; mom raised a finger, waggled it her face and very firmly said “Don’t let that fool take you into the bush Thar’s Baaaarrs in there!” Bubba’s going “Baaaarrs, Baaaarrs, what are Baaaarrs?” Well, I explained I think she means Oso. She then goes “Osos, Osos! I’m not going out there you fool!”. Gee thanks mom, one of the first things I wanted to do was to go camping. Which was a lifelong love of mine. That little helpful hint cost me $30,000 for a RV instead of $100 for a tent. Got anymore helpful advise mom? In any event I think our transitional time in Canada, before our return to the Gypsy life, deserves a bit of time. What say you?

It was so cold I could not describe it…. and windy.
After my experience in Toronto I stoped wearing dresses.
