SOCIETY WOULD BE THIN IF WE LIKED THE FOOD WE ATE
My opinion of the day is that we would not have weight issues if we were allowed to eat food that tasted good. I have a LOT of experience on the subject of eating, and have never really found the reason that life should be so unfair. My basic premise is that “anything that is good for you must invariably taste bad”. For example broccoli, lettuce, tofu, cucumber, tomato, cauliflower, raw fish, boiled chicken, artificial sugars, low fat or low carb “everything” and anything that has the color and the appearance of something that was growing on your lawn.
In my own personal case if I could just eat at MacDonalds and slurp a few beers and thereby lose weight, I can tell you I would be a skinny man. If an occasional bucket of fried chicken or the unlimited fish and chips fry helped to lose additional pounds then I would be absolutely “bulimic”. On the opposite side reality is that things that are green and leafy and taste like hell are the only things that can help you lose weight. Now this isn’t because of their fat burning properties, it is because it tastes so bad that you limit your intake and then lose weight. Now put some dressing on it, to make it halfway palatable, and you lose the weight loss benefit of eating it in the first place.
So now you have eaten something you don’t like and tried to disguise it with a sweet sauce so you could swallow it and in the process have lost all of the weight losing properties of the green pile. “Hold it” you might protest! It is a proven fact that you can eat tonnes of this green lawn clipping material and lose weight! “NOT SO SAY I” a perfect example to disprove your theory is to consider the good ol’ Cow. They munch along eating salad all day and what happens? Well now have you ever seen a “skinny” cow? I rest my case. What say you?
