LOST IMAGES OF AFRICA FROM 1989-90 HAVE RESURFACED
Yesterday, I was searching thru an old box in the garage, when I came across a packet of unsent post cards that dated back to the 1980’s. There were quite a few and in some cases multiple copies of the same one. On reflection, it might seem that either we did not have as many friends to send them to, as we thought we did when we purchased them or, that after the enthusiasm of the purchase, when it came time to filling them out and mailing them, we had some failure in the follow thru. Or maybe, there was just not a post office close to where we were, and then we subsequently forgot to send them once a mailing point was found. It could be Deysi bought them as souvenirs. But “multiple copies” you say, “why”? And I have no response.
Every explanation I come up with seems quite lame. Anyway I am going to attach them all in this post and for those of you that have read of our travels in South Africa and the surrounding areas, they might be of some interest. You will recognize the places from my earlier posts. I now consider these post cards “sent” to all of you. Years of guilt over not having used them is suddenly shed. After all these years, consider these post cards, sent to each and everyone of you.

I still buy postcards every trip and only about 5% make it into the mailbox…
