MY OPINION MATTERS THE GREAT TOILET PAPER FIASCO

It is my humble opinion that many people in this world have a “herd” mentality. I am not saying this to be negative, yet, I see so much evidence of people being lead by what the group does. Instead of analysis and individual decision making. Of course our most recent example of this might be called “the great toilet paper frenzy”. At a time when there was limited information available about what we were facing, someone decided that they might need a year’s supply of toilet paper in case disaster hit. They then acted on that, someone saw them load up, they then thought, that they had better load up also. And the stampede was on!

In my opinion I would think one would and should be much more concerned with food supplies running out and the ability to continue crapping, as opposed to making sure your butt was clean even if your were starving. The only thing that stopped this insanity was the purchase of all toilet paper currently in stock by the retail merchants. Now after 2 weeks the frenzy has gone and toilet paper has returned to the shelves. I see it in so many cases.

An announcement of impending fuel price increases, can send thousands into the panic buying, of a tank of gasoline. Even though they don’t need one and have no intention of going anywhere. The lineups are long and people in that type of situation get stressed and become angry. The greatest possible amount they could save might be $15.00 at the outside. You could buy a bunch of jerry cans and fill them. However, the cost of the cans, probably overrides the saving. It may take 5 jerry cans full to fill the vehicle once. Can you step back and look at how silly this appears.

Anything can cause people to mindlessly follow the pack without ever sitting down and saying whoa, this doesn’t seem right. It will always be my opinion that it is best to form independent decisions, based on knowledge and understanding of your own particular needs, even if those decisions go against the will of the herd!

Someone posted this and I thought it was true and funny! “ Please kids go to school, study and get an education, so when they tell you it is a respiratory illness you don’t rush to go to buy toilet paper” 🤣😂
